Kellogg Concepts is providing architectural services for remodel of a craftsman home, built in 1911, located in Berkeley, Ca. Services include exploration of several design options for a complete kitchen remodel and new rear yard elevated deck.
The kitchen remodel includes expanding usable kitchen and dining space, enhancing light and view to the rear yard, and addition of an elevated rear yard deck and adjoining planting area. The design adds space to the kitchen and dining area that is currently a single story enclosed porch, and relocating a bath – laundry room that blocks access and view to the expansive rear yard. The design includes new custom kitchen cabinets and exterior materials and detailing respectful of the style of the original craftsman house yet creates an exciting and contemporary counterpoint.
The design options were presented in 3D SketchUp views enabling the Client to select the most appropriate solution to enhance the livability and value of the home.
Work will begin soon to complete the project.
